Kevin Stevens scored two goals, including the game-winner with 7:15 left, and added four assists as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Washington Capitals, 7-4, Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

The line of Stevens, Mark Recchi and John Cullen combined for four goals--two each by Stevens and Recchi--and 11 assists, five by Cullen, as the Penguins won their first road game since Feb. 14, the night Mario Lemieux’s back injury knocked him out of action.
