County’s $10 Million for Canyon Land Purchase Challenged
- Share via
So the county of Orange is going to kick in $10 million they don’t have in order to help South County residents buy the Laguna Canyon (“County Takes a New Path to Save Canyon,” Sept. 24).
Isn’t this the same county that is going to charge my city $300,000 to $400,000 and my school district $700,000 because the county is $40 million in red ink?
Let me get this straight then. My children will be deprived of new textbooks and our streets will be deprived of adequate police protection, so that a handful of people can chase butterflies in Laguna Canyon on Sunday afternoons. Is it any wonder why politicians are held in such low esteem?
