Priest Appeal: Post-trial motions are expected to be filed in Reno today by the families of two dead youths in the Judas Priest product-liability case challenging the judge’s ruling that absolved the British heavy metal band of responsibility for the suicide shootings of two youths. Vivian Lynch, Timothy Post and Kenneth McKenna, attorneys for the plaintiffs, will ask the court to either alter and amend the judgment or grant a new trial, contending that the judge who heard the case should not have placed a legal burden on the plaintiffs to prove that the music contained subliminal messages meant to encourage suicide.
