Child Killed by Car

A 2 1/2-year-old El Cajon boy was killed Thursday when he ran in front of an oncoming car in the 900 block of Lexington Avenue, El Cajon police said.

Peter P. Sudo died at Children’s Hospital after being taken there by firefighters, police said. The driver of the car, an El Cajon woman, was not injured nor was she cited, police said.

The accident occurred about 6:05 p.m. Thursday when the boy, who had been playing on the grass in front of his apartment, ran out into the street, police said.
