Demonstrators Form Life Chain
As I was sitting in the traffic jam on Hawthorne Boulevard caused by the life chain anti-abortion protesters, I couldn’t help but think how wonderful it would be if all of those 30,000 people would volunteer to adopt an unwanted child, to pay for the care of a child born addicted to drugs or to set up a shelter for young mothers with small children who are living in the street.
I will begin to take the anti-abortion position seriously when its supporters’ compassion extends beyond the delivery-room door.
