Harry C. (Buzz) Lorenz Jr.; Retired Financial Analyst
Harry C. (Buzz) Lorenz Jr., a retired financial analyst, has died at his North Hollywood home. He was 61.
Lorenz died Sunday of complications of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, said his longtime companion, Robert E. Lampinen.
Born April 26, 1929, in Wyandotte, Mich., he graduated in 1959 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Wayne State University in Detroit. He moved to California, where he settled in the San Fernando Valley. He worked as a financial analyst for various companies and retired in 1985 after 13 years as a senior cost analyst with Norris Industries in Vernon. Lorenz was also a member of the Valley Business Alliance, and enjoyed traveling and gourmet cooking.
He is survived by his brother, Donald Lorenz of Santa Maria.
A funeral, with burial to follow, is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today at the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Hollywood Hills. Forest Lawn Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
