Treasury to Auction 2-Year Notes: The Treasury Department announced that it will auction $12 billion in 2-year T-notes on Oct. 24 to raise $1.925 billion in new cash. But the department also said it “will postpone the auction unless it has assurance of enactment of legislation to raise the statutory debt limit before the scheduled auction date.”
