South El Monte : Smoking Ban Considered
Smoking may soon be illegal in city buildings.
The City Council last week approved on first reading an ordinance that would prohibit smoking in buildings owned or leased by the city or being used for governmental purposes.
A final vote is expected Oct. 25.
Last month, the council banned smoking from the city’s senior citizen center.
