Pros and Cons on November Ballot Measures
Your lack of support for Prop. 126 is distressing, especially in light of your excellent record of supporting education.
The most effective way to prevent alcohol and drug abuse problems later in life is to get the message across early in the schools. By providing nearly a billion dollars to schools over the next 10 years for this purpose, Prop. 126 will help fight the great social and economic costs California is now facing as a result of illegal drug use and alcohol abuse.
The California Teachers Assn., the Assn. of California School Administrators and educators are supporting Prop. 126.
