SIMI VALLEY : Man Arrested Over Cocaine in Vehicle
A 30-year-old man was arrested in Simi Valley after sheriff’s deputies stopped him for speeding and discovered about $100,000 worth of cocaine in the trunk of his vehicle, authorities said.
Eugenio Jimenez Arreola of Pacoima was being held in the Ventura County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail on suspicion of possession of cocaine for sale and transportation of cocaine for sale, said Sgt. Arnie Aviles of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies stopped Arreola for speeding as he traveled east on the Simi Valley Freeway near Sycamore Drive at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Aviles said.
A search revealed a kilogram of cocaine hidden in the wall panels of the trunk, he said.
