Callous Bus Driver

I couldn’t believe what I saw on Oct. 12 at Imperial and Norwalk. I saw a woman with a leg brace and crutches racing as fast as she could to catch a bus. She was yelling, “Wait, wait.” A man getting down from the bus tried to hold it for her. But it left anyway. The man who got down from the bus told her what the driver said to him--”I’m already late on my route.” From my point of view, the bus could have waited a minute longer to let that woman on the bus. This was an RTD bus.

This woman probably had an appointment. I’m 17 years old and I’ve seen a lot of mean and cruel things done, but this is one of the cruelest things I’ve witnessed.

After the bus left the woman sat down on the bench and started to cry.
