AUCKLAND, New Zealand —
British rock star Rod Stewart plans to marry a 21-year-old New Zealand model, her parents said today.
Rachel Hunter and Stewart, 45, will have an “old-fashioned church wedding” in Los Angeles on Dec. 15, said her mother, Janine Phillips. A reception will follow at Stewart’s $7-million Los Angeles mansion.
Hunter, who works for New York’s Ford model agency, appears on the cover of this month’s Australian Vogue. She met Stewart in August.
Stewart dated actress Britt Ekland before marrying Alana Hamilton in 1979. They had two children before divorcing. Stewart separated from model Kelly Emberg, with whom he has a 3-year-old daughter, shortly before meeting Hunter.
