VENTURA : Salesman Robbed of Stereo Equipment
A stereo salesman who transports his merchandise by car was battered in a city park early Wednesday morning and robbed of $1,600 worth of equipment, authorities said.
Allan Nickence of Ventura met a potential customer in an area bar and took him to West Park at 450 W. Harrison Ave. to look at some equipment shortly after midnight, said Officer Diane McCaskill of the Ventura Police Department.
The man and a second man battered Nickence in the park and fled with products from his car trunk, she said.
