COLLEGE FOOTBALL REPORT / WEEKDAY UPDATE : UCLA : Two Losses Mean Little to Donahue

Share

Although UCLA is virtually out of the Rose Bowl race with two conference losses, Coach Terry Donahue hasn’t abandoned all hope.

“It doesn’t look very good for us, but who knows who is out of it?” Donahue said.

For UCLA to have any chance of winning the Pac-10 championship, it would have to win its remaining games against Oregon State, Oregon, Washington and USC. That wouldn’t necessarily guarantee a title unless unbeaten Washington loses two games. Moreover, Arizona and California, teams that have beaten UCLA, would eliminate the Bruins in any tiebreaking procedures. Arizona has two conference defeats, Cal one.

For the Bruins, it’s a longshot at best.
