Dream Doctor Wins Sires Qualification
The Dream Doctor earned his fourth win in five lifetime starts when he posted the fastest qualifying time for the estimated $75,000 California Sires Cup Derby on Wednesday night at Los Alamitos. The 10 fastest horses from Wednesday’s trials will return for the final Nov. 10.
The Dream Doctor won the first of two trials for the 400-yard stake for 3-year-old California-breds. The gelded son of Merridoc covered the 400 yards in 20.01 seconds while defeating Here Comes the Band, which had the second fastest qualifying time of 20.10 seconds.
