Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing a newly formed media company of breaching a contract to hire the German prince as a host of a television variety program.

Prince Fredric von Anhalt alleges that in February, a vice president of Euro T.V.1 hired him to host a German-language variety show for Germans living in the United States, according to Von Anhalt’s attorney, Michael R. Polin.

Representatives of the company could not be reached at their Agoura Hills office for comment.

In March, Klaus H. Mau, a company representative, wrote the prince that the owners had been unaware he was hired and the agreement with the vice president was not valid, according to a copy of a letter filed with the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The contract guaranteed Von Anhalt $377,000, Polin said.
