Unidentified Man Killed Crossing Street
A man believed to be in his late 40s died after he was struck by a car while crossing a street in Lancaster on Wednesday night, sheriff’s deputies said.
The man was crossing north on Avenue I near 28th Street East at 5:35 p.m., when he was struck by a car traveling west, said Deputy Marty Shearer.
The man was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he died of his injuries at 6:58 p.m. Deputies said the driver was not speeding and was not cited.
Investigators had not determined the victim’s identity. He was described only as a white male in his late 40s.
