Airport Parking Up . . . : When county officials proudly unveiled the expanded John Wayne Airport in mid-September, the focus was on the new terminal and the increased number and frequency of flights.
But airport statistics for the month show that the most-used feature of the airport--by far--was the new parking facilities.
A total of 91,714 autos were parked at the airport in September, up 71% from 53,593 cars the year before.
