Andino Finishes 2nd but Wins Tour Title

Dino Andino finished second in the Bud Pro Surfing Tour stop Sunday at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, but it was enough for the San Clemente resident to clinch the tour’s overall title.

Andino, who was second each of the last two years, finished the 11-event tour with 8,681 points. Charlie Kuhn of Indian Harbour, Fla., was second with 7,633 points. Andino received $15,000 for winning the title.

Vince De La Pena of Laguna Niguel won Sunday’s Ocean Beach event.
