Twelve members of Western Illinois’ lacrosse team were charged with misdemeanors in the death of a teammate who overdosed on alcohol during an alleged initiation, school officials said.

Nicholas Haben, 18, of Oswego, Ill., was found dead on Oct. 19 in a dormitory room.
