VENTURA : Napa’s Fire Chief to Replace Horne
Napa Fire Chief Vernon L. Hamilton has been named to replace Bobby G. Horne as fire chief for the city of Ventura, city officials said Tuesday.
Hamilton, 42, has been Napa’s fire chief since 1984.
Before that, he served in various capacities at the Watsonville Fire Department starting in 1971.
Horne is retiring from the city after 38 years, including 13 as fire chief.
