El Monte : Study of Military Leave
In light of the Persian Gulf situation, the City Council is evaluating its military leave policy.
On Tuesday, the council decided to hold off on any changes until the details of newly passed California legislation are resolved. The legislation, which goes into effect Jan. 1, grants state employees serving in the Persian Gulf 180 days of full pay--150 days more than allotted previously.
