THOUSAND OAKS : Lone Gunman Robs First Interstate Bank
A man wearing a sweat shirt and a baseball cap robbed a First Interstate Bank in Thousand Oaks at gunpoint Wednesday, confronting two tellers before fleeing in a white subcompact car with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.
Upon entering the bank about 2 p.m., the robber pulled a handgun and pushed a customer out of line to reach a teller, according to a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department account of the incident.
The robber ordered the teller to fill a blue fabric bag with money. That teller partially filled the bag and the robber moved to the next teller.
The man left the bank at 3965 Thousand Oaks Blvd., in a Nissan 210 sedan, according to radio reports.
