Utah State Beats Pacific Despite Kopp’s 515 Yards
Tracey Jenkins caught 11 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns to help Utah State beat Pacific, 51-45, Saturday in a Big West Conference game in which UOP’s Troy Kopp passed for 515 yards and six touchdowns.
Utah State preserved the victory in the closing seconds when Atu Fihaki intercepted a pass at the Aggies’ 31-yard line.
Pacific (2-5, 4-7) rolled up 570 yards in total offense, and Utah State (5-1-1, 5-4-1) had 542.
Kopp completed 34 of 61 passes. Daryl Hobbs and Aaron Turner each caught two touchdown passes for Pacific.
The game was the season finale for Pacific. Utah State plays a nonconference game at No. 5 BYU next Saturday.
