Street Gang Members Shoot Man to Death
A Moreno Valley man died this weekend in a shower of bullets fired by suspected gang members outside a Panorama City shopping mall, police said.
Alexander Dusit Cahill, 22, was walking with a friend to their car in the parking lot of the Panorama Mall Saturday night when they saw three men running toward them, Los Angeles Police Officer Laura Ann Tesoriero said.
One of the men fired several shots from a handgun, hitting Cahill in the upper torso, Tesoriero said. Cahill died of his wounds at Panorama Community Hospital.
The men, described as members of a street gang, ran away after the shooting and were still being sought by police. No motive had been determined for the attack. Tesoriero said Cahill did not appear to be a gang member.
