PerfectData’s Profits Climb to $139,000

PerfectData Corp., a Simi Valley maker of maintenance supplies for computer equipment, reported earnings of $139,000 in the fiscal second quarter that ended Sept. 30, contrasted with $3,000 in net income a year earlier. Revenues rose 49% to $1.41 million from $946,000.

For the six months that ended Sept. 30, the company earned $277,000, as revenues jumped 65% to $2.83 million. In the same period a year before, it earned $3,000 on revenues of $1.72 million.

PerfectData attributed the improved results to its expansion into new markets, new product development and enhancement of existing products.
