William E. Moehlmann; Pharmacist

William E. Moehlmann, who owned and operated a pharmacy in Mission Hills, has died at a Mission Hills hospital. He was 60.

Moehlmann died Thursday of cancer, said his wife Iluminada Moehlmann.

Born Sept. 18, 1930, in North Carolina, Moehlmann came to California as a teen-ager and graduated from the USC School of Pharmacy in the mid-1960s. He worked as a pharmacist for the Lockheed Corp. before opening Golden State Pharmacy in Newhall in 1977. Ten years later, he opened Devonshire Pharmacy in Mission Hills, which he ran until his death.

He is survived by his wife of six years; son Michael William Moehlmann of Logan, Utah; stepsons Marc Pijuan of La Crescenta, Tony Pijuan of North Hollywood and Robert Pijuan of La Crescenta; stepdaughter Maria Theresa Galindo of Oceanside, Calif.; sister Doris Martin of Yucca Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

A funeral, with burial to follow, is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive in the Hollywood Hills, which is handling the arrangements.
