San Diego State’s football game Dec. 1 against second-ranked Miami will be nationally televised and have a 1:05 p.m. kickoff, instead of its previous 7:05 p.m. start, SDSU Athletic Director Fred Miller said Monday.

The game will be a College Football Assn. telecast, aired live on ESPN. The game will mark the Aztecs’ second appearance on national television against a top-five team. CBS carried SDSU’s game at No. 5 Brigham Young on Sept. 22.

After trailing by 16 with six minutes left, the USD rallied to tie Bulgaria with 45 seconds left. Senior forward Christi English, who made 11 of 15 shots, led the Tereras with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Both were game highs.

Nine of those points came during an 18-2 run down the stretch, as USD tied the game, 68-68, with 45 seconds to go. After Bulgaria took the lead in the final seconds, USD took two shots but missed both. Polina Tzekova had 20 points for Bulgaria but fouled out with 2:49 left. Chris Enger was the only other scorer in double figures for USD. She had 10 points in 21 minutes.

“I was pleased that we came back,” USD Coach Kathy Marpe said. “That was the key. I liked the way we adjusted to the game.”
