A Vietnamese woman was bound, gagged and robbed in her Mira Mesa home Tuesday morning after she returned from taking her children to school, police said.

Lan Nguyen, 37, was pulling into her garage on Dancy Street about 8 a.m. when she was accosted by two men wearing black nylon stockings over their faces, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. Nguyen was dragged into her house, her hands and feet bound with duct tape, gagged and put face down on the floor, he said.

One bandit held a revolver on Nguyen while the other rummaged through the house, Robinson said. The bandits, who spoke Vietnamese, demanded to know where Nguyen kept her money and jewelry, Robinson said.

The robbers took more than $15,000 worth of valuables, including two computers, a printer and a $6,000 ring. They fled in Nguyen’s 1980 orange Toyota Corolla, license number 654ZUG, he said.
