42 Arrested in Prostitution Sting
Inglewood police last week arrested 41 men, including three teen-agers in a stolen car, for soliciting sex with undercover female officers in a prostitution sting along Century Boulevard.
One woman was also arrested for soliciting one of the male officers working on Friday’s noon-to-10 p.m. operation, which took place in front of an undisclosed motel west of Prairie Avenue, police said.
Inglewood Police spokesman Sgt. Harold Moret said about three-fourths of the men arrested were married. Most were cited and released.
Past prostitution sweeps have targeted the prostitutes themselves, Moret said.
