Fallout Continues From Arizona Vote

There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. King’s birthday should be a celebration for every thoughtful human being in this nation. A simple listening to any of his speeches tells one that he not only cared about black people, but about the salvation of this entire country.

If those football games are not a success, or held in the state of Arizona, will those minority businesses that might have benefited be adversely affected? Will a backlash against black people be forthcoming? And is it fair to the college football players that just want a chance to play in a bowl game and remember that feeling for the rest of their lives?

I don’t have an answer to these questions, but I do think it is incumbent upon all of us to seek one out.
