A religious dance will be performed by students as part of a Mass marking the Feast of Christ the King at 8 p.m. tonight in Sacred Heart Chapel at Loyola Marymount University.

The public is invited to the free event, which is sponsored by the Visiting Artists and Lecturers Series of the College of Communication and Fine Arts.

The dance was choreographed by John West, a graduate of the university and founder of the Valyermo Dancers, who express faith, prayer and ritual through dance. The troupe is named after the Antelope Valley community of Valyermo that is the home of St. Andrew’s Priory.
