We need a little public silliness in this age of decline and dismay. “Power Hair Do’s and Don’ts” (Looks, by Karen Grisby Bates, Oct. 14) supplied it.

With all the cynicism around us, it’s a comfort to come across such wide-eyed blither. May I suggest a follow-up article on “Trend-Setting Bellybuttons”?
