CSUN Women’s Team Loses, 79-58

Cal State Northridge committed 36 turnovers in a 79-58 loss to Southwest Missouri State in a nonconference women’s basketball game Sunday at CSUN.

Southwest Missouri (3-1) opened the game in a full-court press and quickly built a 29-10 lead. Three Northridge players committed six or more turnovers.

Northridge reserves accounted for 33 of the team’s points. Lisa Senette came off the bench to lead Northridge with 14 points. Starting forward Julie Arlotto scored 13 points and was the only other CSUN player in double figures.

Reserves Jody Bittner and Christine Rumfola scored eight and six points, respectively. Forward Bridgette Ealy led Northridge (2-4) with seven rebounds.

Southwest Missouri out-rebounded Northridge, 37-26. Forward Karen Rapier led all scorers with 20, center LaWaynta Dawson added 19 and forward Secelia Winkfield had 14.
