Saddleback School District Puts Spellers to Test

MISSION VIEJO — Four Saddleback Valley Unified School District sixth-graders and a fifth-grader defeated 58 other elementary school students in the district’s spelling bee Wednesday at the Education Center.
The five qualified for the Orange County Spelling Bee scheduled for Jan. 23.
The winners and their schools are Trent Cline, De Portola; Wilmer Khong, Montevideo; Nelson Lai, O’Neill; Jeff Psyhos, Trabuco Mesa; and Josephine Valencia, Valencia.
