Shipping Company Names Regional Vice President

* James P. Foxall has been named senior vice president in charge of the western region for Chep USA, a shipping company that is a partnership of GKN Industries Inc. of England and Brambles Industries of Australia. Foxall will be based in Newport Beach. He joined GKN as a senior auditor in 1977 and most recently was managing director of GKN Kwikform.

* Paul E. Mondschein has been named vice president of marketing for the Hansch Financial Group, a subsidiary of the Mutual Benefit Cos. He was formerly the director of marketing for the Laguna Hills financial planning firm. Before that, Mondschein was executive director of the Drug Use Is Life Abuse program, vice president and director of sales for the Odyssey Records and Tapes chain, and director of marketing for the San Francisco Symphony.

* Laurene H. Wang has been appointed vice president for regulatory and scientific affairs at the Institute for Biological Research and Development Inc., Irvine. Before joining the company, she was vice president and director of scientific and regulatory affairs for the Biomedical Research Group Inc., Austin, Tex. Previously, Wang worked for the National Institutes of Health and for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

* Drew J. Winkler has been appointed vice president of Newport Pacific Realty and Investment Corp. in Newport Beach. Winkler will oversee all real estate sales and investment operations and also work with the company’s affiliate, Newport Pacific Development Corp., in negotiating and acquiring properties for development. Before joining Newport Pacific, he was vice president of Bank West Realty Inc. and was director of acquisitions for Sports Arenas Inc. in San Diego.
