SHORT TAKES : Actors Hail Broadway Taxi Plan
- Share via
NEW YORK — Broadway actors Crista Moore, Perry King and Marcia Lewis showed up Wednesday to support a taxi-stand plan they hope will put more people on the audience side of the footlights.
Hailing a cab after a Broadway show can involve anything from scrambling several blocks to mortal combat for the 20,000 theater goers who use taxis each week, especially if several shows are over about the same time.
The new 90-day experiment established two cab stands, with dispatchers, in the heart of the theater district.
