Deaths on Rail Tracks
The comments made by Arthur Lloyd, the Amtrak spokesman for California, regarding the Dec. 5 train accident that took the lives of Usha Waney and Roberta Halpern are offensive and unconscionable to any person who has an iota of compassion; let alone respect for human life.
Lloyd’s accusations of “stupidity” and his logic of comparing the crossing of the railroad tracks to “crossing a runway at Lindbergh Field” show a lack of intelligence and common sense that one would assume a man in his position should have.
