Tiller to Replace Roach as Wyoming Coach
Paul Roach said Wednesday that Washington State offensive coordinator Joe Tiller will succeed him as Wyoming’s football coach.
The Copper Bowl game against California in Tucson on Dec. 31 will be the final game for Roach, who has indicated that the strain of being coach and athletic director has been wearing on him.
Roach, 63, said he would remain as athletic director.
Tiller, 47, was Wyoming’s offensive coordinator in 1987 and ’88. He will receive a five-year contract with a base salary of $65,000 if the university’s board of trustees approve his appointment.
