COSTA MESA : Soup Kitchen Seeks Donations of Toys
The Someone Cares soup kitchen in Costa Mesa is accepting toy donations for distribution to needy children during the holidays.
“We have received plenty of donated food, but we don’t have enough toys for the kids, said Art Rorden, a volunteer at the kitchen. “Their little eyes really light up, and we’d like to have enough to go around.”
The charity, operated by volunteers, will serve a free Christmas Eve meal from noon to 3 p.m.
The kitchen operates year round, Monday through Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the South Coast Christian Church, 792 Victoria St.
