OJAI : Hot Line to Help Problem Drinkers
A free 24-hour hot line for people experiencing alcohol or drug problems during the holiday season will be available through the New Beginnings treatment program at Ojai Valley Community Hospital.
“We recognize chemical dependency as a family disease which affects the individual as well as loved ones and is especially difficult during the holiday season when feelings are more intense,” said Mary Lythgoe, New Beginnings program director.
Anyone experiencing a drug- or alcohol-related crisis can call New Beginnings at 805-646-5567 and talk with the professionally trained staff. The free service is completely confidential, Lythgoe said.
