AH CHOO! Although the flu season began last month, county and state health officials are surprised that not a single case has been confirmed so far. People may be coughing, wheezing and sneezing, but not because of a single strain of influenza virus. . . . “It either means we’re lucky this year or it’s too soon to say,” says county epidemiologist Hildy Meyers. But she still recommends that the elderly and chronically ill get flu shots, available through private doctors or the county’s Health Care Agency, although the supply is dwindling.
