Madonna Mania: The controversy over the banning by MTV of Madonna’s music video “Justify My Love” has helped the singer’s greatest hits album, “The Immaculate Collection,” climb to No. 3 on Billboard’s pop album chart. It is now the highest-ranked greatest hits album since 1980, when “Kenny Rogers’ Greatest Hits” reached No. 1. The record has sold 2 million copies in only four weeks. The single “Justify My Love” is at No. 2 on Billboard’s pop singles chart. And stores report having trouble keeping the video single for the song in stock. It has already sold more than 320,000 copies, and Warner Reprise Home Video has received orders for 80,000 more copies.
