Writer to Writer: The Writers Guild of America is sponsoring “Writer to Writer: The American-Soviet Screenwriters Festival,” seven days of seminars and screenings in Hollywood and New York beginning Jan. 18. The screenings will consist of 10 Soviet motion pictures to be presented by their respective writers. The visiting Soviet writers will meet with American screenwriters and filmmakers during a tour of Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Seattle, where their films also will be shown.
