California Bankshares Raises $4 Million in Capital: California Commercial Bankshares, the Santa Ana holding company of National Bank of Southern California, said that a rights offering to shareholders for 309,861 shares of common stock is fully subscribed. The offering, at $13 a share, will inject $4 million in capital to the bank. William Jacoby, president of the holding company, said the capital will allow the bank to further increase its asset base, which was $329.7 million at the end of September. The bank maintains regional offices in Santa Ana, El Toro and Orange.
