Point Loma Nazarene Loses Opener
Point Loma Nazarene dropped the opener of the Nazarene College Holiday Tournament to top-seeded Southern Nazarene, 72-56, Thursday night in Olathe, Kan.
The Crusaders’ Mark Bulgin tied the game high with 19 points, also scored by Southern Nazarene’s Joe Heun. Gary Litten pulled down eight rebounds and scored 11 points for PLNC (6-4).
Fourth-seeded PLNC was hurt by its rebounding, where it was edged, 23-15, and its shooting percentage from the field, where it was outshot 50% to 38%.
