Sheriff’s deputies said Friday that they have arrested three more people, bringing the number of suspects to 10, in a widening investigation of an Antelope Valley burglary ring believed responsible for at least 40 residential break-ins.

Detectives, who had arrested seven people and recovered $200,000 in property last weekend, arrested a Bellflower couple and a Palmdale man on Thursday and confiscated another $16,000 in allegedly stolen goods. All three were being held in the jail at the Antelope Valley sheriff’s station.

Information obtained after the first arrests led to the Bellflower house and, from there, authorities said, the trail led back to Palmdale. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Denham said he doesn’t expect more arrests.

Deputies raided four houses in Lancaster, Pearblossom and Llano last weekend and arrested six adults and one juvenile. The adults pleaded not guilty Wednesday and Thursday to felony burglary charges.

Also on Thursday, sheriff’s detectives served a search warrant at a house in the 17400 block of Bellflower Boulevard and arrested Aaron Jones, 20, on suspicion of burglary. His wife, identified as Crystal Grant, 22, was arrested for allegedly receiving stolen property.

Detectives said they recovered about $10,000 worth of stolen goods, including televisions, home furnishings, jewelry and other items, at the residence. Bail for Jones was set at $150,000 and for Grant at $5,000, sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Bob Denham said.

Later Thursday night, detectives arrested Darrence Grundy, 23, of Palmdale, described as Jones’ brother, for allegedly receiving stolen property. Detectives said they recovered televisions, stereos and electronic equipment worth about $6,000. Grundy’s bail was set at $5,000.

Deputies believe the group was responsible for at least 40 burglaries in west Lancaster and west Palmdale and in the affluent Quartz Hill area since September. Authorities believe they have recovered about 80% of the items taken in the burglaries, and have begun returning them to the victims.
