Countywide : Protest Against War in Mideast Planned
The newly formed Orange County Coalition for Peace in the Middle East will hold a demonstration today at Buena Park Mall to protest the U.S. military presence in the Persian Gulf.
The gathering, to be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the corner of La Palma and Stanton avenues, is the second in a series of protests being held each Saturday at shopping malls in Orange County, organizers said.
The next demonstration is scheduled for Jan. 5 at MainPlace/Santa Ana.
The coalition was organized in October with the immediate goal of bringing U.S. troops home and promoting a peaceful resolution to the gulf crisis.
