A decision will be made today on whether Virginia quarterback Shawn Moore’s surgically repaired right thumb can stand up to playing against Tennessee Tuesday. Moore dislocated his thumb against Maryland in the 10th game of the season, and a puffy red scar now extends across the base of his hand. Earlier in the week he said the thumb was only 60% healed.

Also, starting wide receiver Derrick Dooley has a pulled hamstring and is doubtful. Virginia Coach George Welsh said Terrence Tomlin will play if Dooley can’t.
