A 90-year-old San Diego woman was burned to death Saturday morning when her clothes caught fire while she was cooking breakfast, fire officials said.

Soledad Rivera, who lived in the 3300 block of India Street, was wearing loose clothing while making breakfast over her electric range when her clothes caught fire and she became engulfed in flames, fire officials said.

Rivera’s daughter, Sarafina Greengrass, was making her daily visit when she found her mother at 7:58 a.m. and called the fire department.
